Jasmine has been presented with a new challenge, a hybrid of previous situations. She starts out needing to pee, as Jasmine almost always does, The rules are simple. She begins by chaining her ankle to the wood stove, then waits for five minutes. If, after that time, she wants to empty her bladder, she may free her ankle, walk into the adjoining room with a wooden floor, and let it go. However, there is a catch. If she resists the urge to pee, then she will receive a bonus of twenty-five dollars. If she wants it, she must chain her ankle to the wood stove again and wait a further five minutes. She is then presented with the same choice - to either gain relief or wait in the adjacent room for a minute before chaining herself up again for a further twenty-five dollars. In order to make the bonus a large one, she has to repeat this cycle over and over again. Oh, I almost forgot: Each time she returns to the wood stove, she has to drink a little more liquid. This does not seem hard at first, but as she continues to hold her pee, taking that shot of water grows increasingly more difficult. Determined to reach the maximum bonus of two hundred and fifty dollars, Jasmine makes herself hold it for an entire hour. As one might expect, she is under a great deal of pressure by the time she reaches her goal
